2,000 Year-Old Programmer Discovers "Magic" for the IBM System i

CYBRA Releases YouTube Video Series to promote MarkMagic Bar Code Labeling, RFID Tag, and Electronic Forms Software

YONKERS , NY . -- CYBRA Corporation is putting a smile on its marketing. CYBRA, the developer of award-winning MarkMagic™ Bar Code Labels, RFID Tags, and Electronic Forms Software, and EdgeMagic -- the only Integrated RFID Control Software for the IBM System i, is reaching out to a new generation of System i professionals while paying tribute to veteran code warriors.

The first video can be seen on YouTube here:

According to Sheldon Reich , CYBRA V.P. of Solutions, "We decided our marketing messages needed to evolve just as our bar code printing technology has evolved-- from support for impact and thermal printers to laser printers, RFID encoding, PDF and emailing.... Today's IT people are all online -- they're part of the YouTube generation -- sharing videos, reading blogs, wikis and other new media. That's where we want to reach them."

To reach this audience, CYBRA decided to create online videos with a message tailored for new media. The "MarkMagic Chronicles" is a series of videos featuring "the 2,000 Year Old Programmer" -- known as "2K" -- with his cool, young counterpart, "Auto-ID." Over the course of the videos, 2K discovers you don't have to do "heavy lifting" to print bar codes. And he finds his package (and his keys!) with the magic of RFID.

The message is clear: MarkMagic makes it a snap for both the new kids on the block and grizzled vets to knock out sophisticated bar code labels, electronic forms and RFID tags. As 2K puts it, "Pshhhhh! MarkMagic is cool!"

The videos have been released on YouTube ( http://www.youtube.com/cybratv ) and other new media sites, as well as on CYBRA's own website, http://www.cybra.com . A companion minisite   http://www.markmagic.com has been launched with the videos and information on MarkMagic. In addition, viewers have the ability to remix and "mashup" one of the videos at
